Federal Employee Community Discount

Washington, D.C. — As an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit, President Lincoln’s Cottage will remail open throughout the government shutdown, despite being on federal property.

In response to the situation, the Cottage is offering discounted tours for federal civil servants through the end of the shutdown. Other resources include a free crafting room open for all visitors daily in the Visitor Education Center, a meditative landscape tour, and entertaining programs.

“We are lucky to have autonomy to stay open during the closure. Lincoln used this place to recharge and think through civic challenges, and we are here for today’s government workers to do the same today,” said CEO & Executive Director Callie Hawkins.
